When they were little, my girls liked to play with dolls and tea sets. They would ask me to read to them and tuck them in at night. For their birthdays I always knew what to get them. They wanted dolls and stuffed animals. They wanted frilly dresses and princess crowns. I think they grew up overnight. One minute they want to play house, the next they want to leave the house. I usually do the school shopping by myself because I knew what they liked to wear. This year they asked me if they could so go so they would look “cool”. I told them yes, I would enjoy the help. I was glad they asked because I did not know what to buy. When I asked them what they were looking for they said urban wear clothes. I will never forget the time when I gave my rugged husband some YMC cufflinks for Valentine’s Day. The expression on his face was so priceless that every time I remember that day, I can’t help but laugh my heart out.
My husband is a no-nonsense guy. He loves wearing jeans and black T-shirts. He likes hard rock music and spends his free time in a firing range shooting holes through paper targets with his favorite toy guns.
